My Fitness Book

I have nearly completed my fitness and training book, designed for women over 40. It contains lots of humour as I think we like to laugh a lot more, the older we get. It contains a 12-week training programme and diary for the reader to complete each day.

I am really proud of it, as is my writing tutor, but I fear now comes the hard part… getting it published!

So, I am going to use this blog to track my journey into the great world of publishing. I will try and answer questions like:

  • Shall I approach an agent or a publishing house?
  • Do I need to write the index or are there special people for that?
  • Who is going to improve my stick-like diagrams?
  • Do I need to get my own photographer?

Follow me along the way; you never know, you may learn something too!

I have been a Personal Trainer for about 23 years and I still love training and the buzz it gives me but writing has always been a part of my life. I think I wrote my first book at the age of 10. My grandmother said I would be a novelist one day and she was right - as all grandmothers often are! I live with my boyfriend Carl, we have 2 huskies who make us laugh every day, except when pulling us into bushes to chase after squirrels! I have also written a Diet and Fitness book for women over 40.
